Navigating CloudM Automate

Once you have signed in as an administrator, you will land on the Dashboard. You can move between the different areas of CloudM Automate using the navigation bar, which is persistently displayed on the left side of the screen.

Dashboard

View activity and insight data across your platform. The Dashboard has three tabs:

  • Backup: Backup activity and status across your domain.
  • Automate: Workflow activity and offboarding status.
  • Domains: Domain-level insights and product activity.

Directory

Create, edit, and manage your domain information. Perform Google Workspace administrative tasks.

  • Profile Fields
  • Mailbox Delegation

A user's record also carries a My Drive tab and a Drive Activity tab where Drive Management is available.

Workflows

Set up and manage automated offboarding workflows.

Drive Management

See and manage the shared drives across your domain, browse the files inside them, and review what has been happening in Google Drive.

Drive Management is available from the Essential tier upwards, and only to administrators. What you can do depends on your tier. See Drive Management tiers.

Email Signatures

Create, assign, and schedule email signatures for organisational units and Smart Teams.

Backup

Configure and manage backup policies for your Google Workspace data. CloudM Backup covers:

Archive

Manage long-term storage of offboarded users' data.

Configure global settings for your CloudM Automate platform.

Header bar

The header bar is displayed on all screens and contains the following:

  • Search bar: Search your directory to find specific users. For more details, refer to the Searching in CloudM Automate article.
  • Notification bell: View the latest platform notifications.
  • Profile initials: Select your initials icon to access your personal profile page, where you can update your information and password.

Chat assistant

A chat assistant widget is available throughout the platform, displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen. Select it to get help, find answers, and navigate CloudM Automate.
