Actions on the OU Information details panel

Access to this feature varies by tier. See what's included in your tier →

Selecting an Organisational Unit and choosing Actions gives you a set of operations you can perform on that OU.

  1. Navigate to Directory > Organisational Units and select the OU you want to action.
  2. Select Actions from the OU panel.

  1. Select the action you want to perform from the dropdown menu.

Available actions

Action Description
Manage roles Apply roles to all users within the Organisational Unit. Refer to the Assigning Roles article for more details.
Hide OU Hides the OU and all its child OUs and users from the default view. Only users with the View Hidden permission can see hidden Organisational Units.
Sync Email Signatures Applies the configured email signature template to all users within the Organisational Unit.
Create Group / Create Smart Team Creates a Group or Smart Team populated with all users within the Organisational Unit.
Move OU Select a new parent OU from the list and select Move OU to move the current OU to sit under the selected parent.
Rename OU Rename the Organisational Unit.
Export Items Export all users in the OU to a CSV file or Google spreadsheet.
Import Items Upload a CSV file or Google spreadsheet to update existing users, create new users, remove users, or reset passwords.
Check Import Status Check the current status of an in-progress import. Completed imports can be found in the Logs.
