Shared Drive Actions

Requires the Pro tier or above.

Acting on shared drives is a Pro feature. On the Pro tier you act on one shared drive at a time. To change several at once, you need the Enterprise tier; see the bulk actions article in Related articles.

Create a shared drive

On the Shared Drives page, select Create a shared drive. This creates a new drive and sets its initial permissions. At least one user or group manager is required.

Act on an existing drive

The ellipsis menu on any row gives that drive's actions: view the drive, open it in Google Drive, sync now, update drive settings, update organisational unit, manage members and roles, rename, and delete.

On Essential, View drive and Open in Google Drive stay available. The other actions are visible but greyed out, with a prompt to upgrade.

Refresh pulls the latest data already held in CloudM. It does not contact Google.

Before you act

Actions need the drive to have an active manager inside your domain. If an action fails, see the troubleshooting article in Related articles.
