CloudM Backup supports backup for two entity types:
- Users — Mail, Drive (My Drive), Calendars, Contacts, and Chat.
- Shared Drives — Drive files and folders.
Backup frequency is configurable at both the Connection and Policy level. The frequency options available to you depend on your tier.

Storage costs
For most item types, backing up more frequently captures more versions and changes, which may result in a marginal increase in storage costs. Emails are an exception — if an email is deleted before the backup interval runs, it will not be captured. This may reduce storage usage but risks data loss for short-lived messages.
