You can export specific batch configurations directly from the CloudM Migrate Self-Hosted Project page. This is useful for creating templates, backing up configurations, or providing diagnostic data to CloudM Support.
How to Export a Configuration
- Navigate to the Projects page within the CloudM Migrate dashboard.
- Select the migration project.
- Locate the batch configuration you wish to export.
- Click the three-dots (Menu) icon located on the right side of the project row.
- Select Export.
What is Exported?
A .zip folder will download automatically, containing the following files:
- Configuration File (.xml): Contains the project settings and connection information.
- Items List (.csv): A list of the users, drives, or items included in that specific batch.
Use Cases
There are two primary reasons to export a batch configuration:
-
Templates & Backups: You can store exported configs locally to use as templates. These can be imported later into the same server or a different migration infrastructure.
- Note: When importing a batch config via the Projects page, you will have the option to include or exclude specific project settings and connections.
- See Uploading a Batch Configuration.
- Troubleshooting: The CloudM Support team may request an exported batch configuration to investigate complex issues or replicate your settings in a test environment.
