Hold User - Legal Hold Status

During the lifecycle of a user account, you may need to place an account in a hold status — for example, during a legal investigation, maternity leave, or a sabbatical.

Important — hold status behaviour

Once a user account is placed on hold, it cannot be offboarded or deleted until the hold is removed.

Hold status does not prevent the user from accessing their account. If you need to stop the account being used, you must also apply Suspend user.

Place a user on hold

  1. Navigate to the user profile you wish to place on hold.
  2. Select More actions and choose Hold user from the dropdown.
