What is involved in a Global Sync?
For changes that are not applied immediately, a global synchronisation will apply changes to the following:
- Organisational units
- User profiles
- Groups
- External contacts
Changes made directly through Google Workspace UI since the last sync are also synchronised, although it is recommended to create users in CloudM Automate.
How often does a Global Sync occur?
A Global Sync occurs every 48 hours.
Can I change how often a Global Synchronisation occurs on my domain?
No. Global Synchronisation timings cannot be changed at a per Organization Unit (OU) level.
How long does it take for CloudM Automate to sync with Google Workspace / LDAP?
Depending on the number of changes made, this time frame can vary. We expect most changes our customers make to take place between half an hour to potentially 2 hours. If you are making large changes or have a very large organisation unity, then this can be expected to take longer.
