The Logs feature provides a full audit log of all actions performed across your domain. A powerful advanced search filter allows you to drill down into the data to track changes, manage security events, and assist in investigations. The last 12 months of data is preserved and displayed in the audit logs.
To access the logs, select Settings > Logs.
Exporting logs
From the Logs table you can export data to a CSV file via email attachment or directly to Google Drive. If configured for your domain, you can also export data directly to Google BigQuery.
Audit log permissions
To view the full audit logs, the user account must have the View Logs permission assigned to their role. If a user only needs to view the audit logs for their own actions, they need the View Own Logs permission instead.
Filter options are accessed via the three-dots Actions menu in the top right corner of the screen.
Search filters
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| User | Displays the account used to perform the action. In certain circumstances this will show as System, for example during domain synchronisation events. |
| From / To | Specify a timeframe to search for events within that window. |
| Context type | Filter events against a specific item type, for example a user profile. |
| Context name | The target of an action. For example, if an end date is set for a user you can filter by that user here rather than the account that configured the date. |
| Operation type | Filter for a specific type of event, for example Assign Alias. |
| Country | Narrow the search to a specific geolocation. |
