You may see the following error in the User Report for some users:
Some users (*) have over 5000 items which is over SharePoint List View Threshold limit
Cause
This error occurs due to SharePoint Online's Large List Resource Throttling feature. By default, SharePoint lists have a view threshold of 5,000 items. When the number of items in a list or library exceeds this limit, the error message is displayed.
Impact on Migration and Accessibility
It is important to understand the following regarding this error:
- Items are Migrated: Despite the error message, the items will still be migrated successfully to SharePoint.
- Visibility Limitation: The migrated items will not be immediately displayed when Browse the list or library in SharePoint.
- Search Access Only: Items exceeding the threshold can only be accessed via search within SharePoint.
