CloudM solves data archiving headaches with new features

Say goodbye to data protection risk, expensive suspended licenses, and clunky restorations. Say hello to Archive.

As the latest feature addition to the CloudM platform, Archive allows you to easily, automatically, and safely store and recover user data.

One of the biggest challenges of the digital workplace is the exponential increase in data that it creates. And as employees come and go, you need to retain their files and emails for a specific period of time. Keeping them for too long, or not for long enough, can result in fines.

(Plus, keeping them as suspended users, in eDiscovery, or in a single account all have their expensive downsides.)

But besides complying with regulations (like GDPR, HIPAA, or FOI), and saving you time and money on storing data, Archive also puts an end to difficult disputes within your business. Now, you can recall old emails and versions of files to determine what was really said and done by a given person.

Above all, Archive is a simple and easy-to-use solution for all of your data challenges.

And it’s all done in four simple steps:

  1. Create a storage area (which you control and we don’t have access to.)
  2. Create and assign a custom role to view and use Archive features.
  3. Connect your storage to CloudM, and test that it’s working correctly.
  4. Add an archiving step to your offboarding policy.

That’s it!

Now, every time you offboard a user, CloudM will also, automatically, archive their data into your secure storage. You can set a retention policy, to delete all of the data after a year or any given time, and restore it at any time with one click of a button. Whether you need a single email, or the entire contents of their Drive, it’s the same simple process.

Archive combines the best of our successful Manage and Migrate features within the platform, and has the same familiar, straightforward interface. You’ll pick it up in minutes.
