How to Log In and Reset Your Password in CloudM Migrate Self-Hosted

 

1. How to Log In

Follow these steps to sign in to the CloudM Migrate Self-Hosted web interface.

Prerequisites:

  • Google Chrome is the recommended browser.
  • You must know your assigned CloudM Migrate email address and password (set during CloudM Migrate installation).

Instructions:

  1. Open a Google Chrome browser window.
  2. Navigate to the CloudM Migrate URL https://cloudm.local
  3. Enter your Email Address and Password.
  4. Select Sign In.

Note: If you are unable to resolve these local URLs, you may need to use the IP address or hostname of the server where CloudM Migrate is installed (e.g., http://[ServerIP]/ or http://[ServerHostname]/).

2. How to Reset a Forgotten Password

If you have forgotten your password, the reset process for a self-hosted instance requires modifying the application's installation. This procedure allows you to set a new password for the primary administrative account.

Requirements:

  • Administrative access to the server where CloudM Migrate is installed.
  • You must know the original email address of the account for which you want to reset the password.

Instructions:

  1. Log in to the Windows Server where CloudM Migrate is installed.
  2. Open Settings > Apps > Apps & Features.
  3. Locate CloudM Migrate in the application list.
  4. Select the application and choose Modify.
  5. The CloudM Migrate installation wizard will launch. Proceed through the setup steps.
  6. When you reach the user configuration screen, perform the following actions:
    • Enter the exact same email address as the original account.
    • Enter a new password.
  7. Complete the installation wizard to apply the changes. You can now log in with the original email address and the new password.
