Issue
When starting an Exchange / Office 365 migration or using the "Check Connections" feature, a user may fail with the error "The SMTP address has no mailbox associated to it".
Reason
The tool is unable to locate the specified SMTP address' mailbox.
Fix
There are multiple things to check when receiving this error:
- The wrong SMTP address has been specified on the "User/Resources" tab or "Test User Name" field check that the user is part of the same domain specified under "Exchange 2007+/Office 365/Online Archive", "Domain Name". If the user's primary SMTP address doesn't contain this domain name, then you will need to specify their entire SMTP address, in order to point the tool at the correct location.
- The specified user hasn't been assigned a full license or doesn't have an active mailbox.
- The administration account may not have a full license assigned to it or isn't a full global administrator. Make sure that the administration account has access to the mailbox and the correct permissions have been configured.
