What is the Autodiscovery Service URL or the Direct Exchange EWS URL for my migration?

Answer

Autodiscovery is the URL used to locate the actual server on which your user data is stored, the default URL is https://autodiscover-s.outlook.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.svc. If you are running your own Exchange server, and have setup Autodiscovery you should know your URL and should use that in the tool configuration settings instead.

If migrating to or from Office 365, the default settings in CloudM Migrate should be used for the Autodiscovery Service URL.

If you do not know your Autodiscovery URL, but you do have a Direct Exchange EWS URL, you can specify that. Note that the Direct Exchange EWS URL should always end in /ews/exchange.asmx. You should only use the Direct EWS URL when you do not have an Autodiscovery URL.

If you're running a migration remotely or using CloudM Migrate Hosted, you will require an externally accessible EWS URL. If CloudM Migrate is on a machine on the same network as Exchange, then internal will suffice.
