If an email signature template in your library is not currently assigned, you can permanently delete it from the library.
To delete a signature:
- Select an Email Signature from the Email Signature Library.
- Select Actions > Delete.
- Two potential outcomes:
- Signature is not in use:
- You will see "This signature isn’t assigned to anyone":
- Click Yes, delete.
- You will see ✅ Signature deleted successfully.
- You will see "This signature isn’t assigned to anyone":
- Signature is in use: You will see a prompt: "The specified email signature is currently in use and cannot be deleted. Please unassign any users before deleting it."
- Navigate to Usage.
- From here, you will need to navigate to each OU or Smart team listed.
- Select Configure > Email Signatures.
- Toggle off Enabled.
- When all assignments are disabled, there will be a short propagation delay.
- Return to your signature, select Actions > Delete again, and click Yes, delete to confirm.
- Signature is not in use:
- The signature will now be removed from the library. This action can be viewed in your Logs.
