Deleting an Email Signature

If an email signature template in your library is not currently assigned, you can permanently delete it from the library.

To delete a signature:

  1. Select an Email Signature from the Email Signature Library.
  2. Select Actions > Delete.
  3. Two potential outcomes:
    • Signature is not in use: 
      • You will see "This signature isn’t assigned to anyone":

      • Click Yes, delete.
      • You will see Signature deleted successfully.
    • Signature is in use: You will see a prompt: "The specified email signature is currently in use and cannot be deleted. Please unassign any users before deleting it."
      1. Navigate to Usage.
      2. From here, you will need to navigate to each OU or Smart team listed.
      3. Select Configure > Email Signatures.
      4. Toggle off Enabled.
      5. When all assignments are disabled, there will be a short propagation delay.
      6. Return to your signature, select Actions > Delete again, and click Yes, delete to confirm.
  4. The signature will now be removed from the library. This action can be viewed in your Logs.
