Inviting Users to Your Tenant

You can invite other IT administrators to your CloudM Continuity tenant so they can help manage policies, monitor sync operations, or view reports. This article explains the invitation process step by step.

Prerequisites

  • You must have the Super Admin role to invite users
  • You need the email address of the person you want to invite

Sending an invitation

  1. Go to user management in the sidebar
  2. Click Invite user
  3. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite
  4. Select a role for the new user:
Role Permissions Best for
Super Admin Full access: manage policies, connections, settings, and users Senior IT administrators who need full control
Admin Manage policies and connections, but cannot manage users or roles IT staff responsible for day-to-day sync management
Viewer Read-only access to dashboard, status, and logs Managers, auditors, or support staff who need visibility
  1. Click Send invitation

What happens next

The invitation process depends on whether the invitee already has a CloudM Continuity account:

Scenario What happens
New user (no existing account) They receive an email with a link. Clicking the link prompts them to sign in with Google or Microsoft 365, which creates their account and adds them to your tenant with the assigned role.
Existing user (has account from another tenant) They receive an email with a link. Clicking the link adds them to your tenant. They can switch between tenants using the tenant selector in the sidebar.

Managing pending invitations

  • Pending invitations are visible in the user management area
  • You can resend an invitation if the original was missed or expired
  • You can cancel a pending invitation before it is accepted

Changing a user's role after invitation

If you need to change a user's role after they've joined:

  1. Go to user management
  2. Find the user in the list
  3. Click on their role to edit it
  4. Select the new role and save

Role changes take effect immediately. The change is recorded in the audit log.

Multi-tenant access

A single person can be invited to multiple tenants. They will see all their tenants in the tenant selector and can switch between them. Their role can be different in each tenant.

Invitation links are email-specific

The invitee must sign in with the same account (Google or Microsoft 365) that matches the email address the invitation was sent to. If they sign in with a different account, the invitation will not be accepted.
