Creating Your Tenant

A tenant is your organisation's isolated environment within CloudM Continuity. It contains all of your policies, connections, users, and sync data. This article explains how to create your tenant and activate your licence.

Prerequisites

  • You have signed in to CloudM Continuity
  • You have a CloudM Continuity licence key (format: BCSYNC-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX)

Creating a new tenant

  1. Sign in to CloudM Continuity. If you don't already belong to a tenant, you will be prompted to create one.
  2. Enter your tenant details:
    • Tenant name — A name for your organisation's environment (e.g. your company name)
    • Description — An optional description for the tenant
  3. Create the tenant. Your tenant is created and you are assigned the Super Admin role.
  4. Activate your licence. You will see the CloudM Continuity interface, but the sidebar is disabled and an activation card is displayed. You need to activate a licence before you can use the product (see below).

Activating your licence

After your tenant is created, the activation card prompts you to enter a licence key:

  1. Enter your licence key. Type or paste your key into the input field on the activation card. Licence keys follow the format BCSYNC-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.
  2. Click Activate. The system validates the key and binds it to your tenant.
  3. Activation confirmed. A success screen displays your licence details, including the tier, user limit, allowed data types, and expiry date.
  4. Redirect to dashboard. You are taken to the Continuity Dashboard with full access. The sidebar is enabled and you can begin configuring connections and sync policies.

Don't have a licence key?

If you don't have a licence key, contact CloudM to obtain one. You cannot use CloudM Continuity without an activated licence.

Key rules

  • One licence per tenant. Each licence key can only be activated on a single tenant. Once bound, the key cannot be reused on another tenant.
  • The first user becomes Super Admin. The person who creates the tenant is automatically assigned the Super Admin role with full access to all settings.
  • Licence key activates on entry. Licences are not tied to a domain. The key is validated and bound to your tenant at the moment you enter it.

Your licence details

After activation, you can view your licence details from the settings area. Your licence shows:

  • Tier — Basic, Standard, or Premium (determines your maximum sync frequency and feature set)
  • User limit — the maximum number of users covered by your licence
  • Allowed data types — which data types you can sync (mail at launch)
  • Expiry date — when your licence expires (annual renewal)
  • Licence key — your unique key for reference (e.g. BCSYNC-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX)

Licence tiers

Tier Description
Basic Entry-level production licence
Standard Mid-tier production licence with increased sync frequency
Premium Highest-tier production licence with maximum sync frequency

Licence expiry

You will receive warnings starting 30 days before your licence expires. After expiry, there is a 7-day grace period during which sync continues. After the grace period, sync operations are paused until the licence is renewed. Your synced data is not deleted.

Inviting other admins

Once your tenant is created and your licence is activated, you can invite other administrators:

  1. Go to user management in the sidebar
  2. Click Invite user
  3. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite
  4. Select a role (Super Admin, Admin, or Viewer)
  5. Send the invitation

The invited user will receive an email with a link to accept the invitation and access your tenant. If they already have a CloudM Continuity account, they simply accept the invitation. If not, they will be prompted to sign in (with Google or Microsoft 365) first, which creates their account.

Next steps

With your tenant created and licence activated, the next step is to connect your source (Microsoft 365) and destination (Google Workspace) platforms:
