Obtaining Migration Reports

This article explains how to access migration reports in CloudM Migrate. Reports can be retrieved for completed batches, historic runs, and currently active (in-progress) migrations.

You can access reporting tools primarily through the Progress screen. Reports are categorized into two main types:

  1. Summary & Report History: For completed migration runs.

  2. In-Progress: for active migrations (at both the Batch and User level).

Summary

The Summary menu on the Progress screen offers a high-level view of your most recent activity.

  • Summary View: This displays an informational overview of the last migration run.

    • How to Download: Click the Click here link within this screen to download the results and reports locally.

  • Generate Report: This option allows you to download an overall report for a migration that is currently running.

    • Note: This button is only active (not greyed-out) during a migration.

Report History (Previous Runs)

To view records of past migrations, select View report history from the Progress screen. This table lists all previous runs for the selected batch.

Available Actions:

  • Download: Retrieve the full report package for any past run.

  • Edit Labels: Add or modify labels to organize runs or make searching easier.

  • Delete: Remove records for irrelevant or failed attempts to keep your history clean.

In-Progress Reporting

While a migration is active, you can also generate reports to check the status of specific entities.

Individual User Reports You can generate a snapshot report for specific users while they are migrating.

  1. Go to the Progress screen.

  2. Select the specific users/entities.

  3. Navigate to Actions > Generate report.

Detailed In-Progress Logs

By default, in-progress HTML and CSV reports contain only basic status information. To include detailed item-level data in these reports, you must enable the feature before starting the migration:

  • Navigate to: Configuration > Advanced settings > Reporting

  • Enable: In progress CSV reports
