Migrate 4 - What's new?

This article provides an overview of the key enhancements and new features introduced in Migrate 4.

New and Improved UX/UI

  • Enhanced user interface for a smoother, more modern look.
  • A more intuitive and streamlined user experience, making navigation and migration configuration easier than ever.

Projects

  • Greater flexibility in project creation—projects can now be created with custom names.
  • Projects can also support multiple source platforms, simplifying the process of consolidating data from different sources into a single destination.
  • Streamlined project creation workflow for a more intuitive experience.

Connections

  • Connections can now be reused across multiple projects, making management easier.
  • Connections can also be created independently through the dedicated Connections tab.

Migration Batches

  • We’ve transitioned from the old configurations and child configurations structure to a more organised migration batch system within each source platform.
  • You now have the option to create migration batches based on specific entity types—such as users, shared drives, etc.—giving you more control and improved organisation of your migration process.

Environment Scan

  • You can now run a comprehensive scan of your entire source environment before configuring or starting any migrations. Additionally, scans can be performed at the migration batch level, providing a clearer insight into the amount of data that will be migrated.
