Prerequisites
- An Exchange Admin account with Impersonation or Delegation access over the accounts you wish to migrate.
- EWS must be enabled on your Hosted Exchange Environment and accessible from the migration server.
Connection Details
- Connection Name: Provide a unique name for this new source connection. This connection will be available in the Connections screen and can be reused across projects. The name can be used to identify the connection.
- Provider: The provide of your Hosted Exchange platform.
- Platform: The Exchange server platform being used by your provider. The options available here will depend on your chosen provider.
- Admin Username: Username for your Exchange Administrator account.
- Admin Password: Password for your Exchange Administrator account.
- Domain Name: The primary domain name for your Hosted Exchange environment.
- Test Username: The username of a user that will be used to test the connection.
- Exchange URL: To establish a connection with the appropriate server, autodiscovery is used to retrieve the server information. Please provide the URL for the autodiscovery service in your Hosted Exchange environment. The format for this should resemble https://yourserver/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml. If you are unsure of this, please contact your Hosted Exchange provider.
- Direct Exchange EWS URL: The Direct EWS URL for your hosted Exchange environment.
- The format for this should resemble https://yourserver/ews/exchange.asmx. If you are unsure of this, please contact your Hosted Exchange provider.
- Authentication Method: The authentication method used by your Hosted Exchange environment. If you are unsure of this, please contact your Hosted Exchange provider.
- Credential Method: The credential method used to access mailboxes. You can choose either Impersonation or Delegation depending on how you have configured your environment. For more information, please review this article: Impersonation and Delegation in Microsoft Exchange
- Use Workstation Credentials: Use the credentials of the logged in user of the workstation to perform migrations rather than the provided username and password. The admin username and password is still required for auto-discovery.
